Samantha Mohr

Mohr was a UGA student and entered her first pageant following being recommended by a close friend. She was awarded Miss Columbus 1985. The title made her eligible to compete in the Miss Georgia pageant in June 1985. Mohr won the competition on the 22nd of June, 1985. More than $3500 was awarded to Mohr in scholarship money along with other awards. As Miss Georgia, her activities Georgia included public appearances at locations all over Georgia. Mohr represented Georgia in Miss America 1986 in Atlantic City (New Jersey) in September of 1985. Through computer-generated modeling, which successfully predicated that Susan Akin would be named Miss America, Mohr's odds were set at 22 to one. Mohr was not a finalist in the Top 10 to win the title of national champion. Mohr was Miss Georgia for a total of ten years. This was until Marlesa Bal, her successor in the title was declared Miss Georgia 1986, on June 28th in 1986. Samantha Samantha Samantha
