Yael Stein was born in Australian and lives in New York City since 2013 was the character Lorna Morrello on Orange Is the New Black. Yael Stone was a graduate of NIDA. Yael had the privilege at a young stage to be a part of some of Australia's top storytellers and performers along with creative directors working in the television, film and theatre industry. Yael is well-known as an actress across Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael discovered her new home in New York City when the production premiered to acclaim on the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Yael has been a co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery is a Bushwick, Brooklyn studio, The Cannery encourages creativity, creative writing and innovative projects and assists in the development of young writers.
